hexedit software package provides view and edit files or devices in hexadecimal or ASCII, you can install in your Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install hexedit
hexedit is installed in your system.
Make ensure the hexedit package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep hexedit *
You will get with hexedit package name, version, architecture and description in a table
